Janel Meilani Parrish (Oahu, Hawaii; October 30, 1988) is an American actress, best known for playing Mona Vanderwaal on the Freeform drama-mystery series Pretty Little Liars. She is also known for playing the young Cosette in the Broadway production Les Misérables (1996), and Jade in the teen comedy film Bratz (2007).

Parrish currently appears recurrently as Mona Vanderwall on ABC Family’s hit Pretty Little Liars based on the book series by Sara Shepard. In March 2012, Parrish was promoted to series regular in the third season.

Parrish returned to her theatrical roots on the stage during producer Over the Moon’s presentation of an intimate production of the Tony Award-winning Broadway musical Spring Awakening, playing the character of Anna, and also understudying former The Glee Project contestant Lindsay Pearce as Wendla.
